the larger Enterprise Digital and Data Solutions (EDDS)
organization. EDGP improves the customer experience and drives
business growth through robust enterprise-wide data policies and
governance and enabling a data-driven culture, while developing
digital and data platforms that provide insightful customer
relationships and allow users to leverage enterprise-wide data
capabilities.American Express is on a multi-year journey to enhance
our focus on Privacy compliance as well as Customer data handling
and transparency.As part of this journey, EDGP is establishing the
Global Privacy Center of Excellence.The Director, Privacy Risk
Assessment Process Guidance will sit within the newly formed
Privacy Center of Excellence.Primary Responsibilities
- Work with partners in the global Privacy Center of Excellence
to enable assessment of enterprise-wide privacy risk in alignment
with organizational best practices
- Identify best practices for assessing and monitoring privacy
risk to drive enterprise continuity across different regions and
business units
- Enhance user guidance for privacy risk, including control
guidance, and training for business stakeholders
- Collaborate with Enterprise Data Management and Third-Party
Lifecycle management teams to integrate privacy risk activities
across existing processes and tools
- Serve as the subject matter expert for identifying,
documenting, and assessing privacy risk
- Establish and socialize guidance document changes, as well as
mapping changes to internal and external regulatory key
milestonesQualifications:
- A strong strategic approach with 8+ years prior experience
including process improvement in privacy risk
- Strong knowledge of and experience in enhancing and uplifting
privacy-related processes across an Enterprise or local level for a
financial services company
- Proven track record of driving results in a fast-paced
environment often with significant ambiguity and needing to make
decisions with less than perfect information.
- Track record of being able to be a subject matter expert and
using enterprise-thinking to quickly identify areas of
improvement
- High degree of organization, individual initiative and personal
accountability and resiliency.
- Excellent communication skills with a demonstrated ability to
lead, engage, influence, and encourage partners and stakeholders to
drive collaboration and alignment.
- Proven ability to manage multiple demands successfully within a
matrixed organization.
- Track record of creating and leading strong cross-functional
teams
- Enjoys solving large and complicated problems.
- Ability to maintain a positive, 'can-do' attitudeSalary Range:
$150,000.00 to $225,000.00 annually + bonus + equity (if
applicable) + benefitsThe above represents the expected salary
